I found the concept of the death of the character interesting.Harry has to deal with the death as a result of a generous act. How many times in real life this occurs. Many adult do not like children to have to deal with death, or death has to be from something heroic. This was different.
Some children in my school thought it was scary, but many others devoured it in days and then reread it.
What disturbed me a bit was that is seemed that the 'inside' villain was exposed without real clues the reader might have figured out. I think this happened in Prisoner also. I hope she does not keep to this trend.
Thank goodness there was far less of the family. That was overdone in first book. Florence McElligott, media Rosendale Elementary
