I'm doing a buffet dinner for publishers on Thursday, the l6th of November (6:30, my house). John Mason, or Jacky have further details. I thought it was interesting that one reader was upset by the idea of Harry having a crush on Ron. Why, I wonder, was this idea upsetting?
I would have described Harry's feelings for Ron as more of a close-sibling relationship; a mixture of affection, rivalry, exasperation and tenderness. Ron and the Weasleys are certainly the closest thing to a traditional nuclear family that Harry has been able to experience.
But boys certainly have crushes on each other (some of which are romantic in nature, some not) sometimes; it's perfectly normal. I don't think Cho Chang has anything to worry about.
