I'm always interested when people say that they liked HP and the Chamber of Secrets least of the series. I find that they're usually not mystery readers. Me, I liked it best, since it's a classic whodunit, with clues, red herrings and a variety of possible solutions. I made this point on child_lit when the book came out and got no response. I also said at the time that I thought it was a satire of class and ethnic prejudice. Of course, the series' attack on prejudice became more direct in book 4. Christine M.
