I don't think "The Amber spyglass" will be shunted off the NYT adult list. Philip Pullman's books were marketed first for adults in the adult section of the chain bookstores I frequent, and is still stocked in both sections. Who is top say that it won't be considered for the adult NYT list? I am assuming it will appear there first. His Dark Materials was marketed first for adults, and then discovered by children, or is my memory addled?
