As a long time feminist, I have to say that life got a lot easier for me -- around in my forties -- when I accepted the fact that guys ARE different and their reactions to the opposite sex -- especially when they are in their perfectly natural Bull stage -- are DIFFERENT than women's. I don't pretend to understand it, I don't pretend not, like Hermione, to think it's stupid, but there it is. Maybe our Veela brain will turn out to be a lesbian in a later book; who knows??
