Reading book four, I wasn't afraid for Harry, but knowing someone was going to die, I feared for Dumbledore (for a few worrisome pages anyway). I felt a dread that if something happened to him, we'd all (wizards and Muggles) be in a pickle. (In book 7 when Harry is mature I will fear for him.)

Various characters are beginning to recognize a growing sense of danger. Right now this points to Voldemort. As someone already mentioned, Dumbledore is pulling together a team of loyal good guys. This team includes Snape. There's something more powerful even than Dumbledore that Snape is loyal to. (What are Snape's secrets??? Don't you want to know more about him?)

In our letters to our local newspaper editor expressing interest in a children's literature column we could offer to write the column.
