I think the publishers who were interviewed for the article articulated the mixed emotions with which I view the "new" list for children's best sellers. Yes, it does give a new voice and "ad spots" for children's literature. However, we all know the motivation for creating the list was because of displeasure at "children's books" taking up too much of the "adult" list. These books are for all ages! If they are selling better than "adult" fiction, pay attention publishers! Maybe good wholesome story-telling is what the readers want. I hope good things will come from this "mixed blessing" of our own best seller list. Sue McGown St. John's School Houston, TX
