HP as mystery

I agree with everyone who has suggested looking at HP as a mystery rather than a fantasy book. In fact, it seems unfair to compare the books to the likes of the Hobbitt, as Rowling did not write them intending them to be fantasy books. In several interviews she has admitted to disliking the genre of fantasy. http://www.parenting-qa.com/parentqa/feature_7.html and 0844,00.html In one interview (I can't seem to find the URL) she remarked that she had never thought of HP as fantasy until after she finished writing it and people began comparing it to the Hobbitt. It wasn't until then that she even read the Hobbitt. Anyway, just some food for thought on the topic.
