Unfortunately, I missed Henry Huggins when I was a child, but did introduce my son (who is now 27) to Ramona and The Mouse and the Motorcycle. At that time, we both fell in love with Beverly Cleary. In the early 1980's, I was fortunate enough to go to the exhibits at ALA in Los Angeles with a librarian friend. What a thrill it was for me to actually meet Ms. Cleary and have her autograph a book for me!
Can Henry really be 50 years old?????????
