I have one more "Ramona" anecdote. My daughters, ages 16 and 19 at the time, joined me at the ALA annual conference in New York in 1996. They were not overly impressed with learning what happened at this annual event until we attended a party given by Morrow and the giveaway was a canvas bag featuring Ramona's picture. Suddenly, their faces lit up and they started to relate happy memories about their experiences reading those books. This week I noticed my now 23 year-old still using that Ramona bag because she said, it makes her smile. Deb Taylor
