I love Anthony Browne's Hansel and Gretel. I think I encountered it in Australia, and I'm not sure it's ever been widely available in the U.S. -No copies in local libraries, for sure. I guess it was too risky. There's also a hint of concentration camps, I think in the striped "prison" garb, and the images of chimneys, ovens, and bars.
