This sounds wonderful. These decisions are made so differently by every writer...and for different reasons. I have witnessed three wonderful, passionate arguments among authors as to whether they even consider audience effect as they write--whether they have any responsibility to reader, to community, or must answer only to art. Oh, how I wish I lived on the right coast.
Hurrah for the organizers.
