One more plug for PICTURE THIS! in case any librarian didn't get the message. I was surprised to find this book recently because I had never heard of it. Of course I didn't always do my homework in library school. It is such a help to people with no art background, like myself and many other librarians. I immediately ordered it and found out it was o.p. I am so glad to hear it is being reissued.

I used SOPHIE recently with K-1 kids and got a good response. Anyone can relate to the feeling of being ready to blow up, but I can imagine it being extremely useful with preschoolers. The words, "really, really,..." are starting to feel overused to me though. (?!) My favorite part of it is the color, I think, rather than the words.
