You are invited to participate in a CCBC Book Discussion. The next one is scheduled on Friday, April 28.

All CCBC book discussions are open to any adult interested in reading and discussing new books for children and young adults, including teachers, librarians, and university students and faculty. Book lists for the discussions are posted on the CCBC website site one month prior to the discussion date. All discussions are scheduled on Fridays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Elizabeth Burr Room of the CCBC.

Visit the CCBC website to see the April discussion list http://www.education.wisc.edu/ccbc/up4disc.htm

All CCBC book discussions are open to all adults interested in reading and talking with others about some of the outstanding new books for children and young teenagers. CCBC award discussions feature various perspectives on excellence. Copies of the books on each discussion list can be found at the CCBC reference desk and may be used in the CCBC or borrowed from the CCBC on an overnight basis. Some participants locate books on the discussion lists in local libraries or bookstores.

Rather than being programs to observe, everyone participates in each discussion in one way or another. Although it isn't necessary to have seen or read all of the books on the discussion list in advance, it's expected that participants will be familiar with a minimum of two books on the discussion list.

If you drive to the CCBC, metered campus parking is usually available on Friday afternoons in the ground level parking garage within Helen C. White Hall; bring lots of quarters! The municipal Lake St. parking garage is a ten-minute walk from the CCBC. It's always possible to walk, or use a city or campus bus to come to the CCBC.

You are welcome to call 608&2?03 for more information.
