I would have to agree with Vlasta that "Dance with Me" is an excellent book. Another book that explores song and dance through poetry, that would compliment "Dance with Me" well, is "Song and Dance" edited by Lee Bennett Hopkins. It is a collection by various poets including Charlotte Zolotow, Carl Sandburg, Ashley Bryan, Eve Merriam, and Langston Hughes. The poems talk about all styles of music and dance from jazz and rap to lullabies and the sounds of the seasons. I would recommend checking it out.
