Please check out Mel Glenn's "Foreign Exchange". It's "sorta" a "Spoon River"...and doesn't play fakey games by shaping poetry rather than writing
"real" stuff, i.e., sharp images unhindered by triteness. There is a good deal of the latter in much that is put forth. Glenn continues to be original if not earthshaking as Ebensen and Worth--among others.
