I'm afraid I have to concur with Sue McGown (below) about Under the Royal Palms. I always want to read about an author's life as I'm sure most list users do, but I was a little disappointed by the book. I'm afraid it won't be read much by kids, although truthfully, kids aren't as interested in these types of books as librarians are, in my opinion. Even for me though, it was a little flat. I did appreciate greatly the portrait of the place though; I just didn't see the writing as outstanding.
