bilingual picture books

I, too, was interested in the points Arthur raised about publishing bilingual books. As a librarian in a school with a large Latino population, I very much appreciate bilingual books. All but a very few of our students know some English, but many of their parents speak only Spanish. With a book in two languages, I can read to the children in English and then the children can take home the book and have it read to them in Spanish. While I understand how this may limit the content of the book, there are books which work very well this way. One good example is a Scholastic title--The Bossy Gallito by Lucia Gonzalez.We also purchase books that are entirely in Spanish, and would welcome more titles from Central and South America.
