I haven't read last summer's discussion of Monster yet, because I'm new to the list. I just want to add my two cents worth: that nothing could have given me more joy, and excitement, to have Walter Dean Myers win the first Printz award. And that it was this particular book --- I don't think it's just the creators of the book that became so engrossed in Steve and his life, I think every reader will be pulled into this story, into the complexities of the events, what is truth, who is Steve? We are all left making movies of Steve in our minds. I'll try to find the archive and see if I have anything else to add.
