After following the discussion on Birchbark house I must say reading it was a disappointment. Guess I am looking for more plot. I kept waiting for the significance of the girl on the island. Yes I wondered about the name of the hunter. But there was no way to tell dates of what happened when. When it finally came at the end I felt (would it be a Carole King moment? Is that all there is??)
