One of my favorites from this year is by Robie Harris and Michael Emberley, the dynamic duo who brought us This sequel takes a look at conception, birth, and families in the same way that the first book does. As a whole, it's funny without being frivolous, very informative, and non-threatening. It's like being told the facts of life by a favorite aunt
(Aunt Sally, perhaps?) or uncle whom we trust and rely on for information that isn't patronizing or couched in vague language. There's a "vas deferens" between this book and others on the same topic.
