I got carried away and forgot one of my most important reasons for appreciating David Wiesner's picture book, Sector 7. The area on the globe that comprises Sector 7 is Wiesner's "beat." He grew up in New Jersey, attended the Rhode Island School of Design, moved to New York, then to Philadelphia and has lived, studied and worked in the sector until recently.
