Not too many of these are 1999 books, but we're giving lots of books this Christmas. Those that are probably of interest to this crowd are:
My brother-in-law, who has a 5 1/2 year old daughter, is getting "The Read-Aloud Handbook" and "Hey! Listen to this: Stories to read aloud," both by Jim Trelease.
His daughter is getting "Piggie Pie" by Margie Palatini (I wanted to buy her
"What! Cried Granny" by Kate Lum, but it was out of stock so I settled for Piggie Pie).
My adult sister-in-law is getting "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "The Hero and the Crown" (by Robin McKinley), among others.
