I actually felt that Bloor did an excellent job of maintaining so many threads, and was willing and entralled, until the end descended into melodrama and I lost sympathy for the protagonist. I imagine that the book will still have success with teen audiences, because of the issues it raises and its realistically complicated characters. When TANGERINE came out I said to myself (and others) "watch out for Bloor!" Well, I'm still watching...
