On Friday, December 10 school and public youth librarians in Waukesha County, Wisconsin chose "Monster" (Myer)as the mock Newbery winner with
"Bud, Not Buddy" (Curtis) and "When Zachary Beaver Came to Town" (Holt) the mock honor books. "Bark, George" (Feiffer) was the top choice for mock Caldecott and "Come On, Rain" (Hesse, ill. Muth) and "Sector 7" (Wiesner) winning honors. Inspirational book talking from a passionate few brought
"The Tale I Told Sasha" within one vote of honor status.
