If it's any consolation to you, I just read a great review of "Hard Love" (I think it was in Kirkus Reviews), and it has gone straight to the top of my reading list, even though it's a little out of my area (I'm a children's librarian and our library has classified it as YA). I'm very much looking forward to it!

And I'm definitely in agreement with your point. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have a kid come in and ask for the HP books (which have never yet made it to the shelves and have a hold list as long as my arm), find out they're not in, and no attempt to suggest another title will satisfy them.
