I, too, enjoyed Rowling's humor. One of my favorite parts is in Chamber of Secrets when Nearly Headless Nick is complaining about not being accepted to join the Headless Hunt. "Half an inch of skin and sinew holding my neck on, Harry! Most people would think that's good and beheaded, but oh, no, it's not enough for Sir Properly Decapitated-Podmore." (US 124) My eleven-year-old liked when Lockhart lost his memory due to a backfired Memory Charm. She thought his words and actions following this were very funny (and well?served considering his previous embellishment of himself!)
