Good morning,
I just heard from Cindy Kane, editor of Bowman's Store and The Heart of a Chief. Although her father is ill and she has had to be away from her work for several days with him, she is willing to share with us some of her experience in working with Joe Bruchac. This, I belief, will add a new dimension to our understanding of these evaluation issues.
She has offered to post a message to us for to read before or on Monday and then on Monday night (from home) to respond to any questions that you have based on her post, so please check in on Monday. Paula Wiseman, another of Joe Bruchac's editors, will be available Monday and Tuesday a.m. as I previously announced.
I also woke this morning to discover that not only had my announcement to you about Paula Wiseman, etc. arrived but also an administrative response I sent to an individual had been posted to this list. After recovering
(somewhat) from the embarrassment we all feel (I assume) from having a message to one person read by over one thousand people, I realized that there is a lot about moderating (and attempting to keep a neutral stance) that I did not know before this month and perhaps many of you don't either. I am going to share a little look into that "behind the scenes" as a moderator in my end of the month summary, but not now as it is not directly relevant to the discussion upon which we are focusing.
Hope you'll take advantage of the opportunity with our guests that's coming up! Keep the messages coming -- Back to Bruchac!
