Thanks for bringing up the work of Tim Wynne-Jones, Lee! I agree that "Some of the Kinder Planets" is a great book, possibly one of the best collections or short stories ever published for children. I really appreciated the fact that each of the nine stories was crafted as a separate piece, and yet there were subtle underlying connections throughout, echoing the central image of planets in a solar system.

Tim Wynne-Jones writes with a rare combination of wit and insight into the minds of young adolescents. I think he's a gifted writer, and if any of you haven't read him yet, you have a treat in store!

On a side not, I just wanted to thank CCBC-Netters for their patience with the rash of "take me off your list" messages we've had lately as the result of university class assignments, and let you know we're doing all we can to deal with them behind the scenes. There's no need to fan the flames by discussing it further here.
