The Ezra Jack Keats / de Grummond Children's Literature Research Fellowship program awards grants to scholars engaged in research projects based substantially on the holdings of the de Grummond Collection. The purpose of this program is to encourage imaginative and productive research in children's literature, and specifically to encourage and facilitate scholarly use of the resources of the de Grummond Collection. This Collection contains books and original materials that focus on American and British children's literature, dating from 1530 to the present. Grants of up to $1000 are available to applicants of any discipline who engage in projects that require substantial use of the de Grummond Collection. Fellowship applications must be submitted by January 10, 2000; applicants will be notified of decisions by January 31, 2000. For more information and an application form, please contact
