Thanks to James Keeline for making the controversial illustration available. The trenchcoated figure is clearly a reference to Hitler, though the gentleman in the overcoat is smoking a pipe. Didn't Churchill smoke cigars? In any case this is a delightful (if that is the word) example of Ungerer's adding depth to his illustrations.
