Although it may not be a "true" crossover (usually needs word of mouth to get to an adult) THE MYSTERIES OF HARRIS BURDICK by Chris Van Allsburg is wonderful for both adults and children. It really sets the imagination going. I've suggested it to teachers for writing exercises, and shown friends who are writers - they marvel at it.
