Everyone loves alfie! I recently read two of the Alfie series books. The books I read were Alfie's ABC Book, and Alfie Gives a Hand. I thought that the books were great for young children. I think that children enjoy reading series books, because it gives them an opportunity to get to know the character in different settings. I read the book to a first grade class, and the response was overwhelming. The children said "Read it again" they truly enjoyed the books. The favorite was Alfie Gives a Hand. The story involves a problem that Alfie has with insecurity. The story is about how Alfie overcomes the insecurity and becomes a hero in the process. I'm looking forward to finding more of these series books, and sharing them with the class. I hope you enjoyed Alfie as much as I did!
