I read Tidy Titch and You'll Soon Grow Into Them, Titch, two books from the Titch series by Pat Hutchins. I enjoyed both of the books because of the language and the repetion that was used to promote language acqusition in young children. I thought this series was so wonderful that I read it to two of the children which I tutor which are in ESOL and these books were great for them to read and understand the language.
The book titled Tidy Titch is very funny and keeps the reader wanting to read on. This book especially is great for parents to read to their children or better yet, for the children to read to their parents. Not only does this story promote language but it also teaches the children a lesson in life, "to be tidy."
The book titled You'll Soon Grow Into Them, Titch was also great, it contained a lot of repetition and used words such as socks, sweater, big, small, etc. words which are useful in real life.
Both books were great from this series not only because they promote language, but I also found that the pictures and the overall stories were very funny and interesting for both child and adults.
