Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second Harry Potter book published by Scholastic, was available in bookstores beginning yesterday. Arthur Levine and I had had a conversation on another listserv recently when I stated that I was going to purchase the third book in the series directly from England when it became available in July. He wanted me to know that the Scholastic edition would be here in September. I just want to say that even though I already have the second title in hardcover and paperback from England, I purchased the Scholastic one today because it is a beautiful book. And it is such a bargain! I'm used to paying sometimes $25 for a hardcover adult book these days. Harry Potter is only
$17.95 and with a 30 per cent discount at my bookstore it was only $13 something. So rush out and get your copy soon. Thank you, Mr. Levine, for all of your work.
