One Britishism that I had to change when reading the American version aloud was the use of the word _mad_. As in "Is Dumbledore mad?" (meaning crazy or insane) otherwise we got bogged down in definitions. I do like the flavor of the book and don't think there was any attempt to deny where it takes place. Sort of Off topic- If anyone knows where in New York City , I can get a couple of pounds of peppermint humbugs as an end -of- the-school- year treat for the kids, I would be eternally grateful. Lisa
