I read Harry Potter to my 5th grade class the last 2 weeks of school, and they begged me not to stop. Their big disappointment was that the sequel came out the day before we were finished for the year. Many of them were going to call the public library to see if they could get on the list for it. The other 5th grade teacher in the building traveled an hour one way on the day the book came out so she could read from it on the last day of school. Hopefully many of those students will be able to finish it over the summer. If not, we are recommending the sequel to the 6th grade teacher for next year's read aloud.
