Maggie: It's great that you are a stay-at-home Mom. The most worthwhile profession there is -- in my book. For the past 3 months, as a requirement for our grad school class here at UAB, we have been able to take advantage of such experience, of such insight into the real works of art. I have enjoyed the comments by everyone on the Tillermans so much. My son's 8th grade class read
"Dicey's Song" and because he was reluctant to read it, I read it along with him. It was excellent to me because I too, look at the characters as "people." In fact, I know people like the ones represented in this series. I really hate to see the class end and look forward to continue to read children's lit as time permits. Working full time, 2 hr. commute and a Mom, wife and daughter, takes its toll on me sometimes. Thanks again for your comments.
