Eliza, My son is in the 8th grade and had to read "Dicey's Song" at the first of the year and he hated it. He has always been an avid reader and so I wondered how come he detested this book. I read it along with him, and had to agree. It was slow in development in many areas and as he said, "he was bored." I thought it was a great story line but not one to hold my attention. Thanks for your insights.
