The Gilman School requires summer reading of all students. they receive a list in May or June and return it in Sept. The younger readers receive prizes for reaching the goal. The amount of reading depends on the grade of the student. Every child-prefirst to twelve reads something. The students are also encouraged to join the city or county public library reading program.
