Cindy, thank you so much for your moving behind-the-scenes account of how "Thanks to My Mother" was translated into English. It is truly heartening to see the amount of careful attention that was given the book in order to make this important work accessible to those of us who don't read German or Hebrew. I hope it will find a wide readership now in the English-speaking world. Congratulations to you and to Dial on the Batchelder Award, and please express our deepest appreciation to James Skofield and Schoschana Rabinovici for their work.
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there in the CCBC-Net Community from the Batchelder Award Committee who would like to comment on this year's winners?
