Snow is a wonderful book! I thought it was going to win the Caldecott medal, too, but I'm especially pleased to see it win the Charlotte Zolotow award. It is one of those books that is so esthetically pleasing it just feels good holding it in your hand, something peaceful and calm, yet joyous, about the book.It's the same feeling I get from Karen Hesse's Come On, Rain! and Deborah Hopkinson's Birdie's Lighthouse. Gorgeous books!
