Secret Letters From 0 to 10 is one of the most enjoyable books I've read so far this year. I found myself chuckling outloud at the plight of "ernest" Ernest who is disarmed by the energetic, optimistic, and willful
"Bulldozer", Victoria. I've spent time in Europe and this book brought back so many memories. Like a lot of books from Europe, it is very candid, yet humorous. The author's portrayal of Ernest's elderly grandmother and their equally elderly housekeeper are so vivid; the incident at the school when the children try to hide the fact that they are babysitting little Jeremy is a hoot. On the surface, I enjoyed the book because the characters seemed to mirror people I actually know and because the story was just a great story--the kind that will put a smile on ones face during reading and afterwards, when recalling details...
