I read Pete's a Pizza to my five-year-old daughter this past week, and she was taken immediately by the playful title. She has wanted the book read repeatedly since, and loves to chant "Pete's a Pizza, Piece of Pizza, Pizza Pizza!!" (akin to the Little Ceaser's commercial). Since she is quite a verbal, singing child, this little refrain is a constant hum at our house right now. Steig not only wove a wonderful text, but
"topped" it with a great title as well!
