According to information received today, the re-scheduled TV feature about editor Margaret K. McElderry will be broadcast on the program
"Sunday Morning" on Sunday, February 7.
I'm interrupting our discussion of "Snowflake Bentley" to commend this program to you.
Given the enormous interest in the editor's role expressed last August by many in the CCBC-Net community, while we discussed the selected letters of Ursula Nordstrom in the book Dear Geniue (HarperCollins, 1998), I'm certain you'll also find this program feature to be of interest.
Margaret K. McElderry's comments on children's books today and her insights about editing and publishing for children are always significant. They're always well-spoken. That's a given. Whether or not this program dimension of the mainstream media can communicate successfully about this most amazing woman and her amazing career remains to be seen. Tune in, or set the vcr... Ginny
