For anyone who'd like even more information about Wilson Bentley, there's a wonderful new biography The Snowflake Man by Duncan Blanchard (isbn 0939923718). Blanchard is an atmospheric scientist with a lifelong interest in Bentley, but his writing is very accessible for non-scientists. If you're creating a unit using Snowflake Bentley (and Snow Crystals) this will provide some great background information.
