David could be Joey Pigza's little brother.* (Joey didn't have one.) That unconditional, comforting hug on the last page of "No, David!" just might be what makes us all love David and this book so much. I go for the mismatched nostrils, too, though! Thanks Steven, for mentioning them. Some of Picasso's faces seem similarly at war with their own symmetries to me.
