Re: Little Girls in Pretty Boxes- There is a juvenile fiction dealing with the exploitation of young girls in gymnastics.
The Fortunate Few by Tim Kennemore. Coward, McCann & Geoghegan NY 1982. This was originally published in England and takes place in the future. It appears that the future is now. One contestant dies after a fall while competing with a damaged knee. It is also about the survivors and the winners.
