I can't help but add another favorite which you probably all know.
How Georgie Radbourn Saved Baseball by Larry Johnson and illustrated by hugely popular David Shannon.
The illustrations are so captivating, that I can vividly picture one page where the man's expression is so mean that I was really afraid for poor lil' Georgie.
