Greetings and Happy New Year. A book that may appeal to sports doers as well as sports readers (and poets) is Sharon Bell Mathis' "The Diary of Ebony Rose." This colorful book incorporates the biographies of leading track stars (i.e. Wilma Rudolph and Jackie Joyner Kersey) into the fictional account of a young lady's love of running. There are poems in the book as well, along with snippets of historical facts that should be appealing to boys, too. Eleanora E. Tate Eleanora E.
